Emergency
First Response Secondary Care (first aid) covers
injuries or illnesses that are not immediately life
threatening. Participants focus on secondary assessment
and first aid through knowledge development, skill
development and realistic scenario practice.

First Response Automated External Defibrillation ( AED )
The
Emergency First Response Automated External
Defibrillation (AED) course builds on the skills learned
in the Primary Care (CPR) course to teach the proper AED
use. This life saving device can increase a patient's
chance of survival from a cardiac arrest by fifty
percent. During this course you'll review the basic
principles of Primary Care (CPR) and learn how to deploy
and use an AED in an emergency situation.

ON TRAINING. This
course is very much Hands on, and nearly the whole day
is spent practicing the skills you have read about in
the manual and seen using the DVD, it is time to put all
that acquired knowledge together.
WHAT
NOT TO WEAR.
As this
course involves a lot of interaction with other students
to practice the various skills, please dress
accordingly, Skirts, boots and High Heels are not the
most comfortable as you will be kneeling a lot, and of
course low cut blouses are best avoided.
If your religion prevents you from touching or being
touched by another person, you will be unable to
complete this practical course.
